Mechanism overlap · reasoning, not evidence
- BPC-157

Reasoning, not evidence: what each is described to do says nothing about what they do together.
What the studies found
Knee pain, one US clinic (Lee & Padgett, 2021)
- What was given — A retrospective review of a year of knee injections at one clinic (2019 to 2020): 16 of 17 patients were reached by phone, most 6 months to a year after the injection. 12 had been injected in the knee with BPC-157 alone and 4 with BPC-157 and thymosin beta-4 (“TB4”); the abstract does not say which form of TB4 was used.
- What it found — 3 of the 4 given both reported significant improvement in their knee pain and 1 had no relief; of the 12 given BPC-157 alone, 11 reported improvement.
- Limits — No control group, and no measure but the patients' own report, by phone, months later.
This chart review is the only published report of the two given to people together (PubMed, searched October 4, 2026).
