What the studies found
Anti-wrinkle serum (Zhu et al., 2026)
- What was given — One ex vivo skin study and two clinical studies (50 people for static wrinkles, 42 for dynamic wrinkles) of a serum with acetyl hexapeptide-8, dipeptide diaminobutyroyl benzylamide diacetate (Syn-Ake), gluconolactone, niacinamide and laminaria extract.
- What it found — Clinical scores for static wrinkles improved 35% to 69% by 12 weeks, and for dynamic wrinkles 10% to 13% (all p < 0.001).
- Limits — Five actives in one serum; the abstract describes no placebo or vehicle arm in the clinical studies.
No study has tested Argireline and Syn-Ake together without other actives.
